17th Annual Sourland Mountain Fest July 23

Ringoes, NJ (June 21st, 2022) - The 17th annual Sourland Mountain Fest Presented by Unionville Vineyards and benefitting the Sourland Conservancy, returns on Saturday, July 23nd, from 3:00 – 8:30pm, rain or shine, at the beautiful Unionville Vineyards in East Amwell Township, NJ.  Attendees will enjoy live music, local food, craft beer, wine and spirits, as well as a variety of local artisans, businesses and educational organizations all while taking in the bucolic views of the Sourland mountain region.  Tickets are limited to the first 1,000 sold.

The Sourland Music Festival (original name) was founded by Tom Kilbourne and James Popik, Sourland Conservancy members, circa 2003 and was held at Hillbilly Hall on the Sourland Mountain outside of Hopewell. It outgrew this location then moved to the Polo Field at Hillsborough Golf & Country Club, where it was held through 2019 with the largest attendance ever of 2,300 people! Unionville Vineyards, our Presenting Sponsor, is our new - and beautiful - location. The Fest has had to pivot to different formats these last two years; but now it’s a new year, new locale but same goal: to bring the communities of the Central New Jersey region together and present the best in musical talent, local food and drink, family fun – all with a spectacular view.

The Sourland Mountain Fest benefits the Sourland Conservancy, an organization dedicated solely to the protection, promotion and preservation of the 90-square-mile region. The Sourland region is a hard diabase ridge starting near Lambertville City and stretching eastward toward Hillsborough. It is one of the three major areas of unbroken habitat in New Jersey and is home to the largest contiguous forest in Central New Jersey. The Sourland region consists of a vast ecosystem of forest, wetlands and grasslands, as well as numerous hiking trails and preserves for the public to enjoy. The region is home to a beautiful array of plant and animal species, some of which are rare or endangered. Attendees of the Sourland Mountain Fest are supporting the Sourland Conservancy’s mission to sustain the region’s natural beauty, unique ecology and rich heritage.

Unionville Vineyards, presenting sponsor of the Sourland Mountain Festival, represents the very soul of the agricultural heritage of the Sourlands. Their fertile and rolling vineyards have produced award-winning wines for over 30 years. Attendees will be able to choose from several wines to enjoy while at the festival. Be sure to plan a return trip to the winery in the future for a personal tasting experience and purchase your own favorites to take-home.

VIP attendees will be treated to delicious cuisine courtesy of the Ryland Inn, who will once again provide the VIP service at the Festival! Renowned Chef Chris Albrecht will delight the palettes of VIP attendees with locally-sourced foods from NJ’s beloved restaurant, known for its exceptional service and hospitality. VIP tickets are sold on a limited basis and you must be over 21.

Attendees will be busy shopping at our carefully curated local vendors, learning with multiple non profit educators, laughing as they partake in fun field activities, tasting delicious entrees from local restaurants and food trucks, imbibing in creative drink and spirits - including non alcoholic, too, no worries; chilling to the sweet sounds of some of New Jersey’s best performers and making memories as the sun sets.

Volunteers are needed before, during, and after the festival. Volunteers receive free admission, a coveted SMF T-shirt, and refreshments. Register at:
