Join us for the stage debut of Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella for Young Audiences! This unique retelling of the classic Broadway musical has been adapted by our very own Education Director, Michaela Murphy, for young audiences and will be presented by The Playhouse Youth Company!

Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella is the Tony Award®-winning musical from the creators of South Pacific and The Sound of Music that’s delighting audiences with its surprisingly contemporary take on the classic tale. This production features all the moments you love—the pumpkin, the glass slipper, the masked ball and more—plus some surprising new twists! Be transported back to your childhood as you rediscover some of Rodgers + Hammerstein’s most beloved songs, including “In My Own Little Corner,” “Impossible/It’s Possible” and “Ten Minutes Ago” in this hilarious and romantic experience for anyone who’s ever had a dream.

Sisters and Voices A Stirring Tribute to the Black Divas of Song -  Women in music share a common bond of living the African American experience. Voices ring high and loud. Tones whisper sweet and low. They each possess a unique inner strength and charisma that has enabled them to overcome insurmountable obstacles to achieve an incredible level of artist expression. Sisters and Voices is a moving and enjoyable celebration of the extraordinary contributions the black divas of song. Through music and captivating images, this fun-filled program features a talented ensemble performers who deliver the heartwarming gospel songs of Mahalia Jackson, "down home" blues of Bessie Smith, and a classic dedication to Billie Holiday and the female legends of jazz. Sing along to rousing soul music. Audiences will "rock and roll" to sounds of Tina Turner, and "get on down" to the funky grooves of Chaka Khan and others. Clap your hands to your favorite song, while live commentary that informs and tells the interesting stories of these incredible soul-singing sisters in music.
