Saturday September 22, 2018
10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

20 Library Place, Princeton NJ

Infrared photography allows traditional landscape photographers to re-invent their compositions with surreal qualities. Glowing foliage, deep skies, and a certain other-worldly quality can transform an ordinary scene into a portfolio-worthy image. This workshop will teach you everything you need to know about camera settings, subject and composition for infrared photography, along with the necessary post-processing workflow required to get stunning "false color" images at the end of this journey. Experimentation is encouraged, as there are many unknowns to explore. It's not just a different way to process an image, it's an entirely different way to see the world around us.

Bart Luedeke Center, Rider University, 2083 Lawrenceville Road - - www.rider.edu

Featuring "Tears of the Moon," "Pas de Deux" from "Ephemeral Possessions," and "Airs." $15-$20.

Fulfilling his long-held desire to create a work to music by Beethoven, Kirk Peterson created Tears of the Moon on ARB dancers in 2013, when he felt he “now had the maturity and experience as an artist to explore the possibilities of dance to the master’s work.” A delicately emotional piece, Tears of the Moon features a range of movements – from highly technical, quick footwork to a lush and emotional pas de deux. Pas de Deux, from Douglas Martin's Ephemeral Possessions, is set to music by Samuel Barber.
