4:30 PM

Each year, CatVideoFest curates a compilation reel of the latest, best cat videos culled from countless hours of unique submissions and sourced animations, music videos, and, of course, classic internet powerhouses. Screening events take place all over the world in a host of venues and raise money for cats in need, often through partnerships with local cat charities, animal welfare organizations, and shelters to identify how best to serve cats in the area.

A percentage of the proceeds from this screening will go to SAVE in Skillman. Founded in 1941, SAVE is an independent non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area. Two chances to catch this family friendly program: a Crybaby Matinee at 11 am on Thursday, March 7 or a Family Matinee at 4:30 pm on Saturday, March 9.

Saturday March 9, 2019
6:00 PM

American Repertory Ballet (ARB) will host its annual gala, "An Enchanted Castle Soirée," inspired by the company's world premiere of Beauty and the Beast, on Saturday, March 9, at 6:00 pm at the Pines Manor in Edison, N.J. Guests will enjoy a French inspired ambiance, silent auction, dinner and dancing alongside artists of American Repertory Ballet. Award-winning radio broadcaster Bert Baron, host of "Jersey Central with Bert Baron," on WCTC (1450AM) will be the Master of Ceremonies.

The primary goal of the fundraiser is to raise money for ARB's merit and need-based scholarship program, which awarded more than $200,000 in scholarships last year. The fundraiser will also enable the organization to present professional ballet productions such as a world premiere of Kirk Peterson's Beauty and the Beast and American Made: Paul Taylor and Other Works, which will be performed this spring in New York City. This year's gala will honor Christine Zoffinger and Joshua Zinder Architecture + Design (JZA +D) for their outstanding and longtime support of the arts, and Erika Mero, the recipient of the 2019 Audrée Estey Award for Excellence in Dance Education.

1 Memorial Drive, Trenton - 215-893-1999 - www.capitalphilharmonic.org

Celebrating harp music with Cheryl Cunningham. $30-$65.

Our more intimate concert of the season features music for harp. Haven’t you always been fascinated watching the harpist’s fingers dance around all those strings and wondered about those seven pedals? This evening we will present two of the most famous pieces in the harp repertoire, Maurice Ravel’s Introduction and Allegro and Claude Debussy’s sensuous Dances Sacred and Profane. Our soloist is our very own Cheryl Dungan Cunningham. Cheryl is one of this area’s most respected and in-demand musicians. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Kimmel Center, and Academy of Music, as well as in important venues throughout the United States and Canada. She has been soloist with several area orchestras and performs as principal harpist with a number of orchestras in the Philadelphia area, including the Capital Philharmonic. Cheryl can also be heard on several CD recordings. Completing the program will be works by Handel, Vaughn Williams, and Gustav Holst’s extremely popular Saint Paul’s Suite. Our festive reception with wine and light snacks on the Patriots Theater stage follows the performance.
