Join Terhune Orchards’ winemakers for our first virtual tasting on Saturday, December 5th at 2pm. We plan on hosting one virtual tasting per month, and this month we are featuring wines perfect for the season: Apple Wine, Cranberry Wine and Campfire Red.

After the purchase of our virtual wine tasting trio, you will be sent a link to the Zoom gathering on Saturday, Dec 5 at 2pm. It will be recorded so if you are not able to attend the online meeting, you will be sent a link to the recording afterwards to view at your leisure. The Zoom gathering is included with the purchase of these three bottles of wine. The gathering will include a virtual tour of Terhune Orchards’ vineyard and winery as well as the guided wine tasting of these three delicious seasonal favorites, described by the winemakers themselves.

Fruitcakes, Music Mountain Theater

Saturday December 5, 2020
3:00 PM

A holiday comedy with dark overtones, Fruitcakes presents a supposedly humorous look at the behind-the-scenes events at a crisis hotline on Christmas Eve. Philip runs Lifesavers, a Venice, California organization dedicated to helping the depressed and troubled. Unfortunately, Philip is a bit down himself, having learned that Lifesavers is on the verge of eviction. His staff isn't feeling particularly helpful either, with Mrs. Munchnik giving gruff, often insulting advice, and Catherine obsessing over her own unspoken love for Philip. As the holiday approaches, various weirdoes of all shapes and sizes, from to a pregnant clothing store owner to a disenchanted Santa Claus, begin dropping in, throwing the already strained office into utter chaos. Based on the 1979 French play Le Père Noël est une Ordure, and the 1994 film Mixed Nuts.

Elegies: A Song Cycle - Musical by William Finn, the Tony Award-winning Composer

Share:

Saturday December 5, 2020
7:30 PM

This intimate and moving remembrance of departed friends is by William Finn, the Tony Award-winning composer of Falsettos and A New Brain. It pays tribute to a disparate group that includes impresario Joe Papp, actors Peggy Hewitt and Jack Eric Williams, a teacher, the Korean family who ran a deli frequented by Finn, relatives in New Jersey, friends, long-lost pets, and, in a moving sequence, Finn's mother. A three-song conclusion offers a tribute to the victims of 9/11. Each number captures poignant, often funny glimpses of life and death that sparkle with the narrative sophistication always apparent in Finn's work.
