Memorial Day Parade, Spirit of Princeton

Honor the veterans and active members of the United States military services as they march down Nassau Street from Princeton Avenue to Monument Plaza, where a brief ceremony follows the parade. The grand marshal and speaker at the ceremony is military intelligence expert Colonel Bill Putnam, commissioned at Tulane University in 1996 as a military intelligence officer.

Winery Weekend Music Series, Terhune's

Join family and friends in our historic apple orchard this spring for our Winery Weekend Music Series. Grab a glass of one of our award-winning wines, sit back, relax, and enjoy live music from local artists each week. Styles range from Jazz and Blues to Folk and Rock. Music plays from from 2pm-5pm.

With 17 varieties of wine made with Terhune’s own grapes as well as three wines from our apple cider, tasting flights are a great way to sample the wide offerings. Warm up with delicious hot mulled wine. Our Barn Door Café will have light fare, while cheese plates and chips & salsa baskets are available at the winery. Perfect to enjoy with a glass of wine!

 No reservations are needed. No outside food or pets, please. Groups maximum of 8.

Outdoor Jazz Concert, Washington Crossing Historic Park

The Friends of Washington Crossing Park (PA) and the historic Newtown Theatre are teaming up to present a free outdoor jazz concert on Saturday, May 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. The concert will be held on the banks of the Delaware River near the park’s visitor center. The Triple Ts, a Philadelphia jazz-fusion trio, will play a mix of original music and jazz standards. Opening for the Triple Ts will be the Council Rock South Concert Jazz Band.

Attendees are welcome to bring their own picnic dinner, chairs, and blankets. Alcohol is not permitted in the park. Four-legged friends are welcome but must be leashed and under control at all times. No registration is required for this free concert.

Rain date is Monday, May 29 at the same time. Washington Crossing Historic Park is located at 1112 River Road in Washington Crossing, Pa.

Back for its 132nd year, the Princeton Triangle Show brings you Campelot! Welcome to camptankerous Camp Backwash, where no amount of crafts & canoeing can cheer up the mysterious new camper. While other kids run around having the Summer of their lives, something dark and terribly posh lurks on the outskirts of camp, campable of destroying camp for all. Can our campers (and some guy) save their beloved Camp Backwash? Come find out at the hilarious, sing-songly, and kick-laden brand-new musical Campelot, written by 11 Princeton students who have never been to camp! It’s in-tents.

Other Desert Cities, Kelsey Theatre

Theatre-To-Go will present the dark comedy "Other Desert Cities" May 26 through June 4 at Kelsey Theatre on the campus of Mercer County Community College, 1200 Old Trenton Road in West Windsor.

"Other Desert Cities," which won a Tony Award nomination for Best New Play in 2011, takes place in Palm Springs, California during a holiday gathering. When a family member reveals she is going to publish a memoir about a painful chapter in the family's history, turmoil ensues and political views collide revealing a dysfunctional family situation that is full of surprise and touching moments. The New York Times hailed "Other Desert Cities" as the best new play on Broadway in 2011.

Tickets are $22 for adults and $20 for children, students and senior citizens. Tickets may be purchased online at KelseyTheatre.org or by calling the Kelsey Box Office at 609-570-3333.
