Inspired by a true story and featuring the Tony & Grammy nominated score by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, Bright Star follows the life of Alice Murphy and tells a sweeping tale of love and redemption, set against the rich backdrop of the American South in the 1920s and ’40s. Inspired by a real event and propelled by an ensemble of onstage musicians and dancers, the story unfolds as a rich tapestry of deep emotion, beautiful melodies, and powerfully moving performances. It’s a theatrical experience as refreshingly genuine as it is daringly hopeful.

From the writer of the hit Broadway musical - and soon-to-be film franchise - Wicked and the beloved 90’s TV series My So-Called Life, comes a new comedy that explores a woman’s right to choose in decidedly unexpected, often hilarious, and ultimately thought-provoking ways.

Journalist Zipporah Zunder has landed the story of her life—and it’s forcing her to reexamine her past, her (sometimes absurd) present, and the choices that have shaped her life. Playwright Winnie Holzman brings her trademark wit and ability to weave social issues into compelling, relatable stories as she explores one of the most polarizing subjects of our time through a refreshingly humorous - and profoundly human- lens.
