The Battles of Trenton Reenactments, Old Barracks Museum
Join the Old Barracks as we host our winter festivities during Patriots Week, a beloved celebration of Trenton's revolutionary role in America's history! Don't miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in New Jersey history this holiday season! The Battles of Trenton Reenactments will be held on Saturday, December 28th. The first reenactment will take place at 11am at the Battle Monument, the second will begin at 3pm in Mill Hill Park. The reenactments are free to attend. Enjoy a special $5 admission to the museum grounds on the day of the battles. Come watch living history and follow the soldiers as they march out to fight on the original battlefields. These events are rain or shine.

"The Trouble with Trenton" Puppet Show, Old Barracks Museum

"The Trouble with Trenton" interactive puppet shows, presented by Tuckers Tales, will also be held on Saturday, December 28th at 12pm and 2pm at Warren Street Plaza. The puppet shows are a family-friendly "mini" look at American history and are free to attend.

Winery Weekend Music Series @Terhune's

Hogmanay at the Trent House
The Trent House Association presents a program highlighting William Trent's Scottish heritage by celebrating Hogmanay on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. This free program will be held outside if weather permits. Indoor space is limited, so pre-registration is encouraged at https://tinyurl.com/Hogmanay2024. Pre-registrants will be admitted in order of registration if the program is held indoors. All pre-registrants will be notified the morning of the event of the program venue and, if indoors, their admission status. Hogmanay is the traditional celebration of the new year in Scotland and the William Trent House Museum commemorates Trent's Scottish heritage with a Hogmanay program during Trenton's Patriots Week. This year the program will feature members of the Greater Trenton Pipes and Drums on bagpipes, a video on making traditional Scottish shortbread, and retelling of Scottish folktales. Scottish and other treats will be provided along with warm cider and chilled eggnog. Visitors will be encouraged to join in singing Auld Lang Syne and burning written wishes for the new year.
