Germany. 1928. A group of natural scientists, radio engineers, and artists convene in the attic of the Berlin Academy of Music for a great experiment. Together, they extend the frontiers of knowledge in art and technology, making discoveries that change the world of music forever. Join IAS's Albers-Schönberg Professor in the History of Science Myles W. Jackson, the Jasper String Quartet and soprano Maria Brea on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. in Wolfensohn Hall when they bring this story to life in Broadcasting Fidelity: German Radio and the Rise of Early Electronic Music, a lecture demonstration inspired by Professor Jackson’s new book of the same title.

We will be exploring Mr. Lennon’s solo recordings from 1969 up until his passing in 1980.With an incredible selection of songs from all of the John Lennon solo recordings; this will be a show NOT to miss.
