Six Degrees of Morven Trivia Night

What do the hope diamond, Anderson Cooper, the Battle of Bull Run, and composer Frank Johnson all have in common? They all connect to Morven of course! Grab your most competitive (and trivia-minded!) friends and family and join us for the museum's inaugural "Six Degrees of Morven" Trivia Night. This is an evening of general trivia questions, from sports and music to history and popular culture, that all have some connection to Morven. Prior knowledge of the museum and its history is not required. You answer the questions and win points, we tell you how the trivia connects! Teams of any size are welcome to participate. Prizes will be awarded. Snacks and beverages provided, including a signature mocktail.

Summer Film Series | Moonrise Kingdom

This year’s selection of outdoor film screenings features three films noted for their representations of nature, inspired by the exhibition Léni Paquet-Morante: Extract / Abstract, on view at Art@Bainbridge from July 19 through November 9.

Arrive by 8 p.m. and bring a blanket or chair—we’ll provide the popcorn! Screenings begin at sunset. Free and open to the public.

Moonrise Kingdom (2012) 1 hour and 34 minutes, rated PG-13; directed by Wes Anderson The year is 1965, and the residents of New Penzance, an island off the coast of New England, inhabit a community that seems untouched by some of the bad things going on in the rest of the world. Twelve-year-olds Sam (Jared Gilman) and Suzy (Kara Hayward) have fallen in love and decide to run away. But a violent storm is approaching the island, forcing a group of quirky adults (Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray) to mobilize a search party and find the youths before calamity strikes.  Rain date: Wednesday, August 6
