Outwater’s Militia Encampment (Reenactment), Washington Crossing State Park

Outwater’s Militia (A reenactment group, portraying a Revolutionary War militia unit) will be encamped at Washington Crossing State Park, New Jersey, on Saturday, August 16th. Come and see the men of Outwater’s Militia join together and drill in preparation for action against his majesty’s troops. Stroll through the encampment when the men are not drilling and learn about the life and times of the Revolutionary War. The event will occur between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. The Visitor Center Museum will be open from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. featuring The Swan Historical Foundation’s Collection of 500+ Colonial and Revolutionary War artifacts.

Eco-Art Exchange: Thrift, Create, Repeat!, WWAC

Love to thrift? West Windsor Arts is hosting a unique thrift-style art supply sale on August 16 featuring new and gently used art materials. The sale, called Eco-Art Exchange: Thrift, Create, Repeat!, encourages sustainability, nurtures creativity and boosts community. It's also just a lot of fun to see what you might find.

The arts center is seeking donations of new or gently used items for the sale. Donations will be accepted on Saturday, August 9, from 10 am to 3 pm, at West Windsor Arts. Donors are asked to bring clean, usable supplies in categories including paints (oil, acrylic, gouache, watercolor), drawing tools, calligraphy inks, brushes, sketchbooks, easels and craft materials—while excluding broken, heavily used, toxic or damaged items.

Day of Sale: Saturday, August 16, 10 am to 3 pm

Donation Drop-Off: Saturday, August 9, 10 am to 3 pm

Winery Weekend Music Series, Terhune Orchards

Join family and friends for our winery weekend music series. Set in our wine orchard among 100 year old apple trees, it is the perfect way to relax, connect, and toast the weekend. Enjoy a glass of one of our award-winning wines, by the glass, in a tasting flight or a refreshing wine slush. Sit back and listen to live music from local artists each week. Styles range from Jazz and Blues to Folk and Rock. Music is from 2pm-5pm. Light fare available. Bring the entire family to enjoy fresh air on the farm, stop in the farm store for fresh produce, baked goods and local gourmet items, and stroll on the farm. Barn Door Cafe is open on weekends for lunch fare, homemade treats and ice cream.

Winery hours 12pm-5pm. No outside food or pets please. No reservations needed for less than 8 people. Groups over 8 require reservation.

Flemington Car Show

The Flemington Car Shows run on Saturdays (check schedule for dates and locations) all Summer long offering the community a source of fun free family entertainment. Each show, hundreds of some of the best classic cars on the East Coast come out to Flemington. The shows are free to the public, and car owners. Live Performances are given by local talented musicians at each show in two areas, complimented by DJ Chuck Leonard spinning classic tunes. Trophies earned by the best cars & door prizes raffled to everyone. Several kids activities like face painting, magic, and balloon sculptures are offered.
