OnStage Seniors Ensemble, Lawrence Branch

OnStage Seniors, a theater ensemble sponsored by the Center for Modern Aging in Princeton, transforms true stories from Central New Jersey communities into compelling monologues and scenes. This year's theme "How Did I Get Here?" is directed by playwright David White. The ensemble performs 12-15 times annually at various venues, and they will perform at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System on Friday, October 3rd from 3:00 – 4:00 pm. Their performances aim to foster mutual understanding within communities through storytelling. After each show, the audience is invited to engage in lively discussions about the stories and their connections to personal experiences.

Sinéad Gleeson’s debut novel, "Hagstone," was published in 2024 by 4th Estate and longlisted for the 2025 Dublin Literary Award. Her essay collection "Constellations: Reflections from Life" won Non-Fiction Book of the Year at the 2019 Irish Book Awards and the Dalkey Literary Award for Emerging Writer. Free; tickets required.

Helene Mazur Solo Art Show- 'Happiness Is' - Opening Reception

Helene's lively oil and acrylic paintings aim to capture the vibrant colors, light and energy of place. Her landscapes and still lives have been described as "engaging and colorful, featuring rich textures and lyrical brushwork." 'Happiness Is' will display a large number of paintings created in the past year.

Based in the greater Philly area, Dave Orban & the Mojo Gypsies are a high-energy, sax-centric quartet that play a unique blend of up-tempo jazzy blues and old-school R&B, with just a sprinkle of New Orleans funk. Active since 1998, the Gypsies are led by founder Dave Orban, an inductee into the New Jersey Blues Hall of Fame. He has performed with or supported such national acts as James Harman, Debbie Davies, Rick Estrin & the Nightcats, Lucky Peterson, Nathan James, Steve Guyger, Murali Coryell, and Selwyn Birchwood.
