Voices of the 250th - An Oral History of the U.S. Semiquincentennial in Princeton, Princeton Public Library

All are invited to share recollections of the U.S. Bicentennial in 1976, observations on efforts to observe the 250th, and their hopes and aspirations for the future of the country. As part of its award for the "Rev250: Examining the Semiquincentennial through a Jersey Lens" grant program, sponsored by the the New Jersey State Library and RevolutionNJ, library staff involved with the Voices of Princeton oral history initiative are collecting short-form interviews relating to the U.S. Semiquincentennial and its commemoration in Princeton and throughout the U.S. Visitors to the library are invited to share their recollections of the U.S. Bicentennial in 1976, their observations on the efforts to observe the 250th locally or beyond Princeton, and their hopes and aspirations for the future of the country.

Annual Fundraiser Summer Sips & Sounds, JFCS of Greater Mercer County

FCS of Greater Mercer County invites the community kickoff summer at their annual fundraiser Summer Sips & Sounds on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Cobblestone Creek Country Club. JFCS is a leading nonprofit organization offering social services to thousands of area people of all ages and backgrounds, including a mobile and on-site food pantry and senior nutrition programs which serve nearly 10,000 individuals each year.

The fundraising event will feature a live band, roaming photo booth, and raffle prizes.

VivaTango - Dancing and Live Music, Suzanne Paterson Center

Thursday, June 4 there will be Tango dancing with live music by Juan Villarreal and Patrico Crom. They will teach a short lesson followed by dancing. Juan is a singer, guitarist, composer, and a part of one of the most recognized duos in the tangoscene in Buenos Aires and the world. Together with his partner Patricio Crom, he has embarked on countless tours across Latin America, Europe, and North America. Location: Suzanne Patterson Building, 45 Stockton St. Princeton. Event starts at 7 PM. Admission: $20.
